I have a downstairs neighbor, Maureen, nickname “Momo”, who has filled the patio bridging our two apartment buildigns with her beautiful plants. The other night she gave me cuttings from one of her rose bushes, which she told me once belonged to her mother. I put the roses in a small vase. Yesterday, as I enjoyed looking at them, I decided I’d return to my knife paintings and capture their beauty. Today, I found a photo I had taken of some lemons she had given me months ago from her lemon tree. So, I competed these small paintings.
